Attorney Richard (Dick) L. Berdelle, Jr. has been a medical malpractice attorney and personal injury lawyer in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs since he earned his law degree from Marquette University in 1978.

His first position as an medical malpractice lawyer was with the law firm of Clausen, Miller, Gorman, Caffrey & Witous in Chicago. Dick was assigned to defend physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice lawsuits in Cook County and the collar counties. He became a partner at the lawfirm in 1985 and he remained there until 1991.

In 1991, Mr. Berdelle left that position to work for the victims of medical malpractice and personal injury cases. He had switched sides. He was able to continue to use the extensive knowledge of medicine and hospital procedures that he had developed over the years only this time he was helping those who had been injured and disabled, or the families of those who had died.

For the next 12 years, Dick worked as an associate attorney representing injured and disabled clients. In 2004, he decided to venture out on his own and began the Law Office of Richard L. Berdelle, where he continues to represent medical malpractice plaintiffs and other personal injury claimants.

Richard Berdelle is a member of the usual state and local bar associations, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and The Society of Trial Lawyers in Chicago. In the past he has lectured to different physician and lawyer groups on issues involving both the prosecution and the defense of medical malpractice lawsuits.

Dick Berdelle grew up on the far south side of Chicago and currently lives with his family in the western suburbs.
